Quelpit ("we," "us," "our") operates an on-demand platform connecting customers with independent service providers ("helpers") for moving, cleaning, furniture assembly, snow removal, and general household tasks. Who We Share Information With

- Helpers — receive your service address and booking details only after payment is confirmed
- Stripe — our payment processor, to process transactions securely
- Background check providers — to verify helper eligibility before onboarding
- Legal authorities — if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users
Data Retention
We retain booking and payment records for as long as required under Canadian tax law, generally a minimum of 6 years. Helper records, including background check results and pay history, are retained for at least 3 years as required under the Ontario Digital Platform Workers' Rights Act. You may request deletion of other personal information by contacting us, subject to legal retention requirements.
Your Rights
Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request corrections to inaccurate information
- Request deletion of information we are not legally required to retain
- Withdraw consent for non-essential communications at any time

Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. Payment information is processed by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor — Quelpit never stores your full card details. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our website may use basic cookies or analytics tools to understand how visitors use quelpit.ca. We do not use this data to build advertising profiles or sell information to third parties.
Children's Privacy
Quelpit is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
